I have William's Firesights on my two Ruger revolvers which are daylight field guns for me. I love them.

Dawson .100 or .090 front with a green fiber and a .125 notch plain black rear.

I’ve got a set of Truglo TFO’s on my Gen 4 19, and honestly, I think they kind of suck. I don’t know if I got a bad set or somehow got something on them that made them dull, or what. I do know that before too long, I’ll be replacing them with something that isn’t fiber optic.

FO is the only way. During the day they absolutely blow tritium sights away, and I’m willing to accept whatever miniscule limitations they cause at night on my gun, which is equipped with a TLR1.

Something that I don’t see pointed out often that makes the biggest difference IMO is how thin the front blade can be on FO vs a tritium sight. Tritium generally bottoms out at 0.125”.... shooting a B8 at 25yd with this compared to a 0.100 or 0.090 blade is night and day.

Yesterday, I picked up a used G34. It has a set out Taran Tactical fiber optics on it. They zero really well.

I have a set of TruGlo TFX Pro Litium/Fiber-Optic sights on one of my P365s and I love them. They are physically large sights and I thought they might look clunky on the small slide of the P365, but I was wrong, they look fine.

If you don't need night sight capability, the Dawson fiber is brighter than the TruGlo fiber. The Dawson fiber is open and collects light from everywhere except the bottom. The TruGlows fibers are surrounded by steel everywhere except on top. So, they are dimmer than the Dawsons. However, the TruGlos work very well outside. And in very dark conditions are very bright. In fact, they are the brightest night sights I have (compared to Trijicon HDs, Trijicon Bright and Toughs, XS RAMs and XS DXTs). The only sight I have that's brighter is the XS DXT2 front sight on the G19 I carry.

I have TruGlo TFX Pro sights on my G20 and G29 that I carry with me on photo outings. I'm very satisfied with them so far. They seems to be very well made. My only dislike, and it hasn't shown itself to be a problem, is that with both tritium and fiber optic, the sights are very long.

I installed them one a few handguns but had terrible luck with both. the tritium tubes kept failing and coming loose. They had so many returned to the ProShop they started stocking them to avoid sending them back to the factory for service. We tried a dab of epoxy but they didn't help. They did come out with a new version which might have corrected the issue.

You are correct in that the Dawson is a much better fiber optic. Frankly I never had a great desire to have night sights installed. They were handy in finding the handguns in the dark.

May be just me but a while back we had a informal league at the Academy and during the winter months it was dark around 4pm and we were able to get real world night shooting. Vastly different than a dark room. I never really made use of the night sights. Supplemental, lighting was much more of a factor.

Those were the TFOs. Lot's of postings on TFOs, and to a lesser extent VTACs, regarding loose or fiber optics falling out. TruGlo supposedly fixed the issue with the TFX/TFX Pro, which is what the sights on my guns are. I've only got about a 100 rounds through both guns since installing those sights. So far, no problem. I like them for an outdoor carry gun.

I have Williams on a few guns. My EDC G43 has a Green front and Red rears. I like it.

I have TFX Pros. They are a combo fiber optic and Tritium. Inside, they are really no different than a standard sight. Outside, they are laser sharp.

I have them on my STI-bought it from Dawson so it has their sights, fiber on two ruger 22/45 pistols and installed fire sights on a 10-22 and my Savage MKII bolt action 22. So I’m sold on them

I like the TFX combo sights and the "dot the i" rear sight, like on an old P series Sig.

I bought a used Glock19 that came with Trijicon Fiber optics. They look almost exactly like HDs, except with plain black rear with square notch and a nice thin front sight.

One thing I noticed is that the rear sight isnt as sharp as HDs. Not sure why they didnt use that same profile on their HDs since the sharp rear was the main reason I ditched them.

I might end up keeping these Trijicon fibers on since they are really nice.

I've had 10-8 fiber optics, but never really liked how shallow the rear sight notch looked.

I used to prefer/insist on night sights. Then I put a weapon mounted light on my carry gun and had the epiphany that the night sights do nothing when I have the light on. At dusk with no additional light sure you have the dots but if you are still able to make out the sight outline your good to go.

Anyways besides an RMR I have come to prefer a red fiber with a u notched rear. I’m able to pick it up extremely well and track the sights with ease.
