mrmoneybagsHow to cut/work G10?
I figure somebody here might have some experience hacking on G10 grips...
I have some Beretta 92 Vertec panels that need to be modified to fit a 92X Performance by cutting some length off the bottom & flattening the back of the panels. I’ve never attempted any work on G10... just wondering if there are any details I should be aware of before going after them with a dremel & grinder.
Thank you!

Xer0Worked on grips in a similar fashion as you are wanting to do and have worked on it with knife handles. Any hand tools that work with wood, work fine on G10. You're not doing enough of anything where excessive safety from exposure is needed. I wouldn't use rough wood files, but medium and finer files work good. Don't let the g10 get too hot with power tools. You can just dip it in water to keep cool as it's completely waterproof.

babueI used a sanding drum on my dremel to take a little off one of my grips to use the smaller Legion slide stop lever. It did not take much effort with the drum to take a little off the grip.

flesheatingvirusYou may post this question to some of the knife makers here. Some of them have made grips from G10.
