I'm thinking of having either my P365 or G43 slide milled for a Holosun 407K/507K. Anyone here with time on a micro-optic/micro-pistol set up like this? Is it worth it? What are the pros and cons? Thanks.

I’ve got a Hellcat with a Swamp fox, don’t have a lot of rounds thru it but so far it’s just “meh” for me. I don’t have a lot of experience with an optic but I have shot a full size and compact (g17 and 19) and I much preferred that size gun with the optic vs the Hellcat. I’m gonna take it off and go back to irons on it till I sell it. 365xl and 43x I actually feel would be as small as I’d want to go. My opinion only
365XL with 507K circle dot. It's great, makes a huge difference when you wear bifocals/progressives and you can't focus on the front sight as easily as when you were young.
But having FTRTB during the first 50 rounds of WWB. That is a known issue on the XL and the added weight/intertia of the optic may be an issue. Or I'm just thumbing the slide with my grip and slowing it down a little. Once I get 200 rounds through it I'll have a better idea if it's going to be reliable or if it needs help from Sig.

And it's an aging eyes thing for me too. I have a P226 with an RMR for a "house gun" and a G17 slide out for milling for a Holosun 507C at Jagerwerks. I'm thinking the 507K might be a good choice for a small concealed carry pistol too. Thanks for the feedback, and I'm pretty sure the 365 will break in.

Hellcat with 507k. Lots of rounds through it. I really like it. I am faster and more accurate with the dot at this point though I am still fine with irons. The microdot doesn't have as big a window and adds enough height to the sight where I feel it makes the gun just a bit too big to toss in my front jeans pocket but the trade-off is worthwhile in my opinion.
Also depends on your size and dress. I've been using it as my backup but off duty I've been rolling a comped G34 with 509t and x300. The tiny gun has its place but I can get away with hiding that in jeans and a t shirt and I prefer it.

I have a Hellcat with a Swamp fox. I have gone back to a plain slide and irons. Irons seem faster and just as accurate at 7 - 10 yards. I'd sell it if I could.

I picked up a 365 XL slide assy and a Romeo zero to goof with and sold it off for the same reasons. I do like red dots though as I can't see for shit anymore and my groups are much better at distance but for a 365, XS DXT2 sights work better for me as I can see that giant pumpkin no matter what. The 365 is my EDC and for me a red dot just didn't fit that application. One of my considerations is if I can see it without my glasses and red dots are useless to me without my glasses on but I can still hold center mass at 15 yards with the XS sights and no glasses which is a worst case scenario for me other than a gun malfunction.
