Just wanted to share with fellow Grayguns fans that I got the flat trigger for the P2000 installed today.

Thanks to Grayguns for making this. I was concerned the length of pull would be weird, but it's actually quite nice for me with the large backstrap installed.

Haven't shot it yet, but after dry firing I think everything about this is an improvement over the stock trigger. I personally like flat triggers. But beyond that the metal feels better than polymer. Plus this isn't serrated.

Happiness is a warm gun.

That looks awesome! Will this trigger also fit the HK USP Compact?

I have a Grayguns flat trigger in my P30S and love it. Need one for the USP Compact!

It's compatible w/ the P30 and P2000 only.

I have been waiting for this. Ordered. 15% off too. The flat trigger on my P30 V1 (Light LEM) transforms the gun. I suspect it will do the same to the P2000 of which I already love that gun.

To the OP, do yourself a favor and get the HK45C mag release. It works for the P2000/USPc and it a much better size than stock. Great cheap upgrade.

A guy on that other forum was modding the P30 flat trigger so it’s nice to see this. The P30 version doesn’t fit the trigger guard area of the P2000. The USP trigger shows coming soon. I wouldn’t hold my breath that soon is around the corner though. The P2000 one took awhile.

Thanks for spending my money. Lol

Sigforum is always costing me $$. Big Grin. I have it sitting in my cart. I’m guessing it isn’t hard to swap out? I changed the springs on my P2000 a few years back and I think this would make it even better.

Edit to add that I just bought it.

Swapping triggers is not hard. That trigger return spring (TRS) is a bit of a bitch to get back in place. That’s the only hard part. Google it. The TRS pliers help and the coffee stirrer trick helps also. The pliers are just needle nosed pliers with a semi circle the size of the round part of the spring dremeled out. Make them or buy them, but do one of those trust me. Lol

I have the TRS pliers from when I switched springs. I’ll google the coffee stirer trick

O jeez, looks like my USPC will have to wait until they make one for it! Lazy Wolf Guns is also said to have one in the works.

I have always had a love hate thing going on with HK. Their triggers being the hate part. Lol

The flat trigger on the P30 fixes a bunch of the issue. LEM and the short reset kit fix the rest for me. With this trigger I also have a short reset kit coming. I’ve always shot the P2000 well but I think this will up its performance.

I also had to add the 365 adjustable flat trigger b3cause at 15% off and Christmas I figure why not?

Thanks for the tip. I'm aware of this upgrade, but everytime I looked for one, they were out of stock. But just saw the HK parts store has them in stock. $7 + shipping. Smile

True. FWIW, I got it the trigger return spring back in there with standard #2 screwdriver (helps to have a magnetic tip). Took a couple attempts, but it was done in about 3 minutes. Just be sure to work in a place where, if that spring flies out, you can find it.

I just did the trigger swap and short reset kit last night.

What I found interesting was that on a P30 I can swap triggers by just removing the TRS. There is enough slop with the trigger bar to disengage the nubbin that fits in the trigger. I’ve done it this way twice. On the P2000 no matter what I tried I couldn’t get the clearance to get that raised pivot off the trigger. I ended up disassembling the entire gun.

That was a first for me with an HK. I removed every frame component except the mag release and the sear spring. I already upgraded to the HK45C mag release so no reason to mess with that and sear spring stayed stock.

Well I have to tell you it got my heart racing a bit to see every pin, spring, and part laying on my desk and I only had an exploded diagram as my guide. That being said, the HK is a beautifully put together gun. No extra bs. It was quite easy to take down and put back together.

It was also very greasy and gritty inside. I bought it used and some of those parts have not seen the light of day in a decade and a half.

Cleaned it up, relubed. Thought about putting some more grease on the hammer strut where it contacts the hammer but ended up just using a light oil that I am sure will migrate away. Grease or no grease what do you guys say?

Flat trigger is great btw. My P2000 has the Todd Green special combo of springs. My P30 V1 has kind of spoiled me, I might have to swap the TRS for a lighter one to mimic the V1.

I’ve got the HK mag retrofit kits coming. They are for turning P30/VP9 15 rounders into 17 rounders. Apparently installed in a P2000 mag they turn the stock 13’s into 15 rounders so that is the plan. My G19 killer lol.

Since it had grease on it when I took it out (presumably from the factory, I cleaned and gobbed on some TW25B.

Interesting. Sounds like this is a known upgrade, and so I'm assuming it doesn't affect reliability, correct? Can you report back on this?

I can. The kits are from HK and I have upgraded a bunch of 15 round P30 mags to 17 with no issues. The 13 to 15 I haven’t tried yet but everyone who has done it seems ok with it. Plus, HK upgraded the factory mags for the USPc/P2000 to 15 rounders with the same tube so I’m pretty confident.

I just installed the flat trigger tonight. IMO it really improves the feel. I’ll take it to the range tomorrow and make sure it functions and cycles but dry firing everything seems to work as it should.
