Just found myself a 6 1/2 inch barrel 29-10 in decent shape. Price was right. Forcing cone looks good, lock up is tight, and blast plate is clean enough.

Put a few rounds through it, already dislike the grips and looking for replacements.

Anything else I need to know.

Thanks guys.

Blast Plate? Mean recoil shield?

Lots of different grip options out there.

I can't say enough good things about the set on my 329PD!

I appreciate the correction.

I will get some pics up tonight. I spoke with Smith and Wesson and might send it back for a nice treatment. They have a combat magnum package for a reasonable price.

Since this is just for fun:

Can anyone recommend a Harry Callahan type holster for this beast?
