Anyone with any trigger time on this particular pistol? Looks like a nice option for a Glock 19 size pistol. Likes or dislikes?

I have a 509 Compact Tactical and it’s bigger brother. I have red dots on each.

I like the ergos, the red dot mounting system, the extended mags, and the trigger.

The trigger pull isn’t light but something about it just feels great after several hundred rounds.

Overall I’d say they are my favorite of all time for a self defense gun.

I have less than 1k rounds through each so time will tell. So far no issues at all with ball ammo or whatever brand of HP I pull out to run at the range. I think I have found the right gun for me.

I had a comment conversation about this gun with Hickok45 about the 509 midsize, specifically vs the M&P 2.0 Compact. He liked the 509M better.

When I was looking for a truck gun, the compact 509 along with the Sig 365 and the Walther PPS where my top 3. The FN 509 was the first one out due to the trigger, both other guns had crisper pulls with better breaks. I don't know, however, how the trigger of the mid size compares with the compact?
