P210 Lube Question
I’m finally going to get out with my P210A. Before I do, it’s going to get cleaned and lubed.

I’ve used Slide Guide Lite on every Sig I’ve owned, applied generously, with excellent results.

Before I try it on it, I wanted to get an idea of who’s using what and whether you’re conservative with it or running them fairly wet.

Thanks!

I use Mil-Comm TW25B, as I do on most SIGs. The slide to frame fit on a P210 is tight so you won't get much grease to stay in place.

Any type of gun lube is fine. the amount is irrelevant too. the pistol will work exeeding materials out of the gun.
Use a good amount of lube inside the close cam path and on the barrel lugs and on top of the rails. the rest of the gun can be lubed the way you like it. There is no etiquette for this gun.

The lube I use is Swiss Army grease for automatic weapons aka Automatenfett for the gun and a self made mixture of MoS and gun oil for the hammer assembly.

Regular gun gun oil is just fine. GaryBF's advice for all is good. Probably better then mine when you are not sure.

The only time I ever had problems with one of my P210s (a Swiss one), was with medium slide glide. It was probably mid-40s, fairly cool, and had several feeding problems. I got frustrated, cleaned the gun and put oil on it, and its run like a top ever since.

The guns are tight, so be careful with grease.

About time you got out and shot that thingWink I've been using whatever lube is close at hand for the 210. More often than not, Break Free CLP, since the local Wally World usually has it in stock. I've never been to a dedicated P210 armorers class, if there is such a thing, but in the regular P Series armorers classes they just advised using a lube made for use on guns. Seemed like good advice, so I don't use anything special to lube the 210 either. It doesn't seem to care what lube is used. It just works.

Lol...yeah I know. It's only been about nine months since I picked it up!

I'll most likely give Slide Glide a shot and if it causes some issues, then just go with oil.

At this rate, you'll have about a hundred rounds through it total, by the time you reach 90, M. Razz

Lol, hopefully I'll have exceeded that this week. If not, your number might not be too far off!
