Recently found a KB date code (1991), P220. Great condition, box, target, paperwork. Got it home and cleaning her up when I noticed that the hammer was smaller and of a different shape, 6 grooves, more angled tip not rounded compared to a KG code 220. The coloring is the plumb color of much older Sigs. Hammer looks like one I saw on a late 70's heal mag version. This is a one owner pistol purchased in 1992. Is this hammer correct? This message has been edited. Last edited by: ncpirate,

Welcome to the Forum I presume that your last line asking about the trigger is a typo The original hammer was used into the early 1990s The P220 in the upper left is a 1991 manufactured pistol serial numbered G180xxx The P220 beneath it is a 1994 pistol serial numbered G230xxx ------------------------------------------------------------------ NRA Benefactor . . . ncpirate - welcome aboard! Your KB coded P220 is correct with the earlier spur hammer design which is often observed with a plum color. The newer type bobbed hammer, which incorporates the rebounding hammer return safety spring, was introduced at serial number G 219166 in late 1993-early 1994.
