LCR in .327 Fed Mag is still my choice for warm weather.
S&W 610 in 10mm when fishing/hiking in bear territory.

That's a 329PD in .44 Magnum. It's brutal to shoot, even with light loads, but at 24oz it's awesome to carry. The grips are an eBay find from a guy in Thailand who makes copies of hard to find factory S&W grips. They were a copy of the "bantam" style grips, and had finger grooves which I sanded off. They are horrifically painful to shoot, but allow the gun to fit in my chest carry rig, which is a Hill People Gear medium kit bag.
The gun is currently wearing a set of hacked up rubber Pachmayr DiamondPro grips that have a padded backstrap and make it a little less punishing to shoot. It's still very much a handful, but at least I don't feel like I'm shutting my hand in a car door every time I pull the trigger. And having cut them down, they do fit into my kit bag, just barely. Neither set is exactly what I want, but between the two I can cover most of my needs.
The gun also came with two sets of factory grips...rubber that were to long and too narrow, and wood ones made by Altmont that in typical Altmont fashion are covered in sharp 90 degree corners. I'm not even willing to try those on this gun, as I'm sure they'd draw blood.

You definitely do! I've been enjoying playing with the 329, but if I could only keep one it would be the 69. It's heavier, but far nicer to shoot, and the trimmer profile makes it easier to conceal. It's also much easier to maintain than the 329. I am willing to shoot some nasty lead stuff through my 69 because I can get really aggressive with chamber brushes and scrub it out. I only shoot jacketed through the 69 because I'm not willing to do that to the Titanium cylinder
I saw a 2 1/2" 629 at my local store. I'm not even close to having the money for their asking price, so it's just fun to look at.

That would be a nice gun, and probably not too bad to shoot. Look around and see if you can find a 69 2 3/4". They're current production and typically go for $850-$900 around here. Still expensive, but not as outrageous as the $2k+ that I see older discontinued .44 snubbies going for. Plus, being an L-Frame, it's slimmer and a good bit easier to carry.

CQB60I’ve picked up a Kimber K6xs since I last commented in this thread. Also a Ruger LCR. Both are lightweight which is a trend I’ve been on.

I have the ultra rare .357 version of this gun. with Hogue grips it is comfortable to shoot.
S&W 327 4 inch.

Pale HorseOccasionally I’ll carry a revolver when I’m just planning on going to my buddies house or something. When I do it’s one of these two Kimber revolvers, usually it’s the 3” model. It’s kind of ugly but I think I could make a case for it as the best CCW revolver on the market.
It has night sights, is hammerless and has no sharp edges to catch on anything during a draw including the rear sight which is cut perfectly to align with the frame. It holds 6 rounds of .357 magnum and the grip and weight allows me to comfortably shoot .357 magnums. It’s a couple ounces lighter than an SP101 and only 0.04” wider than one. Mine fits perfectly into a leather holster I have for my SP101. The trigger is good out of the box and the thing is very accurate.
The little guy is a handful to shoot with .357 magnums but it’s good with .38 +p. I could change the grip and shoot .357 out of it but I’m happy with .38s and I usually carry the bigger guy anyway.

shovelheadS&W Model 36 Chief’s Special circa 1959 from time to time. Road trips, grocery store, times when I don’t feel like holstering up. I use a sticky holster.
I’m saving my spiff points at work for one of the new Model 36’s that S&W now offers. I’m always afraid of one of my old guns getting damaged.

S&W Model 640 .357
S&W Model 60-3 Three-incher
S&W Model 19-3 Snubby
S&W Model 242 pre-Lock
S&W Model 386 Mountain Lite
...and once I get it back from my Cerakote guy & have put a few Boxes downrange, I will start carrying a mid-60's Colt Cobra from time to time...

That's some good stuff! Do you have any pics of that 2.5" 642? Can't say I've ever seen one of those.

OneWheelDriveBeen carrying my S&W 432PD in .32 H&R mag recently. Depends on what I'm wearing and how much it prints.

Thanks, I like it quite a lot myself! There have been two changes from "Box Stock"--It has an Apex J-Frame Kit installed, giving it one of the better J-Frame Triggers I've encountered, and I put a set of Hogue full-sized Rubber Grips on it--In PINK! Kinda' whimsical, I know, but I think it looks neat...

You're gonna enjoy that gun. Mine is a bit more marked up from several years of daily pocket carry, but it's been very reliable, has the second best trigger of any Smith I own, and handles magnums really well for a J-Frame snubby.

buffordMy Dad's old model 36 finds its way into a pocket holster 2-3 days a week, regardless of what else I am carrying...
