So the wife bought me some vp9 mags (17 rounders) for Christmas. But I have the SK. No problem, I thought, ill just buy the 15 rd factory sleeves. Now I found out I need a new floorplate as well. Cant find them anywhere. Any ideas??

HK makes 13 and 15 round extended mags for the VP9SK (and P30SK) but I have not seen conversions for full capacity mags.

I bought the sleeve from Midwest Gun Works. Its in Hk packaging and appears a factory part. I just wish they sold the baseplate you need with it or at least mentioned you have to change baseplates. Its the same sleave on factory 15 rounders. I was hoping to cheaply change the mags my wife already bought. Prob have to return them and get the pre made mags.

Sounds like you've hit on the right answer. The time/cost to convert a full-size mag to the extended mags isn't worth it over simply buying them from the factory. That said the end result of the sleeve/floorplate combo is much better than using the aftermarket sleeves that simply fill the gap. I think you'll be pleased in the end.

Will the mags work in your gun ? My P320Sig 21 mags run fine in my X Compact just hanging out in space. I would think HK would be the same way.

^^^ This. The latest 20rd mags seat and work fine the SK guns, VP9 or P30 flavor. Sleeves to me are vastly overrated.

I bought a sleeve of eBay that a guy was making on his 3D printer that fit the stock floor plates. They are completely smooth and fit perfect but I can’t find him on eBay at the moment. I got the link off a HK forum.

Thanks. I ordered 2 15 rounders. I intend to get a full size vp9, so ill keep them. I know HK hates us, but $17 for the sleeve an $22 for the baseplate....damn ridiculous.

Have you looked on hkparts.com? I picked up a some base plates with a pinky rest from there for my P30sk. I am pretty sure they have other base plate options.
