So I've been thinking for a long time now that I needed to upgrade my carry rotation. Got an original P365 a few years back with the intention of upgrading my pocket carry rotation of j-frames. Never happened. Got a belt holster for it and started carrying it with 12 round magazines and base adapters. It was just so light and easy to carry it morphed into a frequently carried EDC.

I've been thinking for a while now that I had gotten lazy with my EDC and needed to carry something larger. Also started thinking that I needed to join the 21st century and carry something with more capacity than my usual lightweight 1911's. Started thinking like this when the P365XL came out, then even more when the Macro came out.

Been doing a lot of on-line research, fondling at gun stores and shooting different options at the range when the opportunity came up. Finally made the decision this afternoon and got the P365 Legion. Came down to the Legion vs. a Shadow Systems CR920XP. Really liked the Shadow Systems feel and lighter weight, but proprietary magazines that are currently unavailable and have been for some time caused me concern. That and the ability of the P365 to be an adult Lego set appealed to my since I already have one and thought if I really want a lighter weight grip frame I can always buy a polymer Macro frame. The shop did have a Fuse and a Macro Comp, but the trigger on the Legion was lighter and smoother than either of the other 2.

One thing that gave me pause with the Legion and it's Macro length grip was that it was too long. Really surprised me when I got home and started comparing it side by side to my Colt Defender and how close the two are in size.

Looking forward to getting out shooting this and working it into my carry rotation.

That's a nice piece. So about the same size, how's the weight compare to your Defender?

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Haven't put it on a scale but they feel similar in the hand.

Just because you can,
doesn't mean you should

Like all of these posts, you have to consider what your trying to accomplish because there's a balance of weight, size, capacity, accuracy, etc.

I carry an XL with a Magguts +2 magazine kit that adds maybe 1'8 of an inch or so to the grip length. In other words, nothing. I carry concealed but not in the pocket.

That gives me 15 rounds in a reasonably accurate, small enough and light enough gun for my daily concerns. I can easily carry this anytime I'm awake.
