Is this barrel wear normal?

There is no picture visible. If you mean the smileys that you get along the top and bottom of the barrel near the muzzle......they are perfectly normal, and once the gun is broken in the wear gets less and less.

How many rounds have been fired with the gun? Added: and what kind of ammunition? Wear in that area is common, but if you have only fired a box or two, I would not consider it to be normal, especially as the wear seems to be rough rather than smooth. What does the locking insert look like? This message has been edited.
