Stealth Arms Platypus?

ChowserStealth Arms Platypus?
Still kicking. Kid says long sessions the gun gets a little slippery when sweating. They're working on a new grip pattern. Maybe that will help? He's probably going to add skateboard tape in the future. Other than that, gun still works, nothing seems to be wearing. Mags look fine. We only feed it Winchester 124gr nato spec FMJ. On the rare times we use JHP, Federal HST, Hornady FlexLock and Winchester Ranger all work fine.

Finally got to shoot the Platypus that belongs to my friend. Felt just like any other 2011. The grip was not as grippy as my Prodigy. I thought the grip felt just a tad slimmer than the Prodigy’s, but the difference was minimal.
Platypus shot great, both 124 and 147 grain ammo.
If I were a Glock guy and had a bunch of mags…I’d buy one. Easy entry to the 2011 world.

BB61I talked with a friend tonight who has shot one and competes. He said they shoot nice and has seen them shot hard all day without any problems in competition.

AnubismpI forgot to update, Ive been crazy busy of late but I got mine in and its awesome. The website tracker sat on frame made for a while and then I got a tracking number. Its accurate, its been reliable so far though I don't have a ton of rounds through it and I'd lose it in a John deere store or a mustard field.
I got mine cut for the EPS carry though I'm kind of thinking about the standard EPS. Its not terrible but the sights jump into the window pretty far. Thats not their fault though. Great gun, its nice being back with a 1911 style trigger and safety. Though now I have to deal with the "your hammers cocked" and "that triggers too light" thing again.

ChowserWas it easy to swap out the rear sight and plate? My son forgot what pattern he bought (I guess I can dig up my email) but he isn't ready to transition to a red dot yet. He's still having fun with iron sights on his Platypus. They haven't released the P320 mag version yet. I asked if they were working on a Glock 19 sized mag with a shorter slide. no answer. lol

LoswsmithThank you all! I've got a f-ton of glock mags and an itch for a 2011 so this seems great. I've been hesitant because of the chain link so I will wait a bit and see if they come up with something grippier but this seems like my future.

monoblokOne is still on my to-do list, but an unfortunate and unexpected plumber's bill of nearly $25K has put the Puss off until sometime next year.

AnubismpI thought it was easy to mount the dot/ swap the plate. I agree I'd like to see some other options, specifically a smaller version that takes the g43x pattern shield or PSA mags. It's awesome as a full size gun but it's like a vaguely slimmer Roland special.

Oracle Arms is shipping, but it's 60-90 days made to order.

LoswsmithSo I ordered one with the new grip texture which should be in my hands maybe in July. Now I plan on spending that time looking for holster options. I've seen mixed views on this. I ordered a square trigger, non-full length rail and 5" slide. I know one option is to mount my Surefire 300 to it and use a universal holster, but I was hoping for other options.
Thoughts from all you enablers?

adorI ordered mine 2 weeks ago. 5 Inch, Full Rail, Square Trigger Guard, Trijicon RMR cut. I will start looking for a holster when I get the pistol. I looked at the new aggressive grip, but decided on the chainlink.

Chowserin for holster info.
we're using a phlster floodlight 2 with tlr-1hl attached.
we're going to put another 500 rounds through it tomorrow and then move my holosun 407k off my glock 43x to the platypus

AnubismpI have a c&g iwb holsters which is working well once I shaved the material around the mag release as it used sft plastic. I just got in a Pdp so I'll likely get a phlster floodlight 2 to work with my x300u.
