Sold my buddy a Chiappa wildlands 45/70 lever gun. We knew the action was gritty for a fairly expensive gun, but he wanted something threaded in 45/70 and it’s a very good looking gun so he bought it anyways. Fast forward a couple months I’m at a dealer show and see Chiappa people there and play with another wildlands they have on display and it’s beautiful. The action is smooth everything is great. I tell the rep the story with my buddys and he says to contact customer service and send it in I tell my buddy just call them or send them an email they’ll send a return label etc. Well it’s been 2-3 months with no response. Now I have a brand new Chiappa rhino that one of the green fiber optic sights are missing. I try calling Chiappa and emailing. No response to either. So hopefully at shot show I can find some Chiappa sales person to blow smoke up my ass and tell me to call customer service again because that hasn’t been successful. | ||

Buy that Classic SIG in All Stainless, No rail wear will be painless. |
I had the exact opposite with Chiappa Customer Service. A friend of mine has the Chiappa 1911 .22LR and it has a one piece compensator/muzzle break/barrel bushing. This part broke and the gun was inoperative. This is one of the 2/3 size copies of the 1911, and similar to the Browning 1911 which is also 2/3 size. The part appears to be a zinc alloy casting and the time/effort to duplicate it from steel is monumental. I contacted Chiappa for him and sourced three of them for less than twenty dollars. My friend is happy, the gun runs like new again, and sourcing the parts was painless. Me personally, Chiappa is on my DO NOT BUY list.
