I have a few P229 and P220 pistols. I would like to replace the plastic internal parts with aluminum alloy. I have seen few suppliers but any suggestions would be great.

Search for “aluminum sig pistol mainspring seat” and you’ll get responses for the one plastic part I can recall as being in Classic line pistols*. They were originally introduced many years ago and even though they were very expensive at the time, I bought a couple for reliable operation during the apocalypse. From a brief scan of the results they all look pretty much the same, but I would check reviews.

* Other than the hammer stop, and I wouldn’t want that part made of metal even if it were available—and which I’ve never seen.

Metal magazine floor plates are also available, and I believe can be a good idea. The floor plates of the 10-round mags during the Dark Decade would often break if dropped on a hard surface.

Yep--only plastic is the mainspring seat and hammer stop. I, too, have never seen a metal hammer stop. For the mainspring seat, here's a great option (from a great company):

I bought several of the original aluminum bases that Randy with APRX Tactical designed and made when he was still working with Gray Guns. They worked well but were very pricy and honestly never saw the need and due to the value let them go.

I few years ago I ran across the Matrix ones shown above and bought a half dozen of them and installed four and still have a few I need to get around to putting in. As before they really don't do anything better then factory but they are real cheap now and have pretty colors of anodizing to choose from for hidden bling.

The only negative i see with them in when inserting them its metal to metal over plastic sliding on metal with the factory. Honestly the grips will be long gone before the factory bases. Lol
