Some but mostly based on needs/mood. I keep to striker and revolvers. Currently i mostly carry a P365. Sometimes I rotate a Glock 19 or a G43 for a backup on duty. I'm planning on rotating in a K-Comp.

I currently rotate between 3 Glocks, Glock 43x in the Spring/Summer then switching to a Glock 26 sometime in the Fall and then to a Glock 19 MOS in the Winter. I did not have the 43x last Fall so the 26 may be out of the carry rotation this Fall.

Same here. Kahr K9 Elite right now as it's hot. G48 when it's cooler in the Fall and I can wear a cover garment. G19X in the Winter.

Since I rarely wear a jacket I carry a P365 almost everyday in a pocket holster.

About the only time I’ll carry something different is if I will be wearing a jacket, am going to be in an area “worse” than my normal stomping grounds (think Seattle proper vs the burbs), or if the general situation has changed (like current events and protests in my area).

Other guns that might get carried include P30SK, P320 X-Carry, P226, or P30.

1911 daily carry 24/7 365.

Only exception is when I have to go into an area where the likelihood of multiple assailants is greater; then it's a P226.

I just want to make sure everyone gets their allocation.

Sure...Monday is black G23. Tuesday is OD G23. Wednesday when I'm feeling adventurous I'll go for baby poop FDE G23, otherwise I will do the overcast gray one. Thursday I'm back to black G23 again... Roll Eyes

Nope, I don't rotate my choice of carry gun. It took a while but I've come around to the mindset that it's really for the best to know one gun and methodology extremely well and then try to limit the potential for confusion as much as possible, at least as far as carry weapons go. So it's been the same boringly reliable and somewhat simplistic Gen4 G23 (the black one) nearly every day for the last nine years. A G19 for many, many more years prior to 40S&W. The only time I've substituted for my G23 with another gun model (which these days it's for one of my P365s) is when I have to make accommodation for some out of the ordinary attire that I'm forced to wear for a particular day or event. And when I had a holster failure and temporarily went to the G43 (the predecessor to the P365's current role) while I searched for another G23 holster solution.

The only times that I've subbed another of my G23s in for my regular black EDC is when it comes about time to do a refresh tune-up on the normal daily (inspection, new springs, pins, re-polish the action, detail strip & clean, etc.) and I wind up coming up with an excuse not to do the tune immediately and then rely on one of my backups to prop up my in-the-moment laziness. I've taken the OD one the past couple of times as my sub, just because its parking space in its safe makes it the easiest of my G23s to grab.

Depends on temperature and dress code and where I'm going that day - work or errands.

So, normally either a CS45 or 4513TSW. But on hot humid days, a thinner, smaller, lighter CS9. Regards 18DAI

Not rotate, so much as location dependent. Around this small town, I carry the Ruger GP-100 3"bbl. When I travel to the "Valley" (PHX area), I take the SIG P220 Elite. Both are 10mm, and both load the same ammo (Underwood 180gr Gold Dot).

When in doubt, mumble

I used to rotate with the season.

P229 in the winter, P239 in the summer,

then I switched to pocket carry.

It was my PM9 all the time and now it is the P365 in my left front pocked all the time.

I use to rotate the pistols monthly but stopped since then I had to rotate the magazines and it just became easier to carry the same gun for extended periods. Now I carry the SIG M11-A1 and sometimes my CZ 83 in .32 ACP, 15 round magazine. I have a HK P30LS for travel.

Rotate between a G43, G19, and a G29. All depends on where I’m going.

I don't have anything like a rotation. I'll carry maybe a Glock 19 for a couple weeks, then for no particular reason, switch to a 226 or 229 for a day...or month. Or my TRP, or Wilson 1911. It's nice to have choices.

Generally speaking, changing your carry gun is not a good idea. G19 to a G26? No problem as long as it's the same/similar holster.

Who knows what YOUR shooting situation might be. You might have plenty of time to access your pistol or you might be in panic-draw mode.

I was helping serve an arrest warrant one day when things went sideways. I was a Patrolman at the time, so I carried a M19 revolver in a snap-strap holster (holster was mandated; quit rolling your eyes). Serving this warrant I was in plain clothes and carrying my personal Gov't Model 1911 in a high-ride thumb-break holster. I needed gun-in-hand NOW and proceeded to try to un-snap the strap, several times. I had to fucking LOOK at my holster/pistol to realize what was going on. That was an "a-HA" moment for me.

I train a lot in "presentation drills" where the object is to quickly draw and present, sights should be pretty much aligned without visual confirmation and ready to shoot. Did thousands of these with my SIG P226. Tried it with a Glock and guess what? Yep, pistol presented muzzle high.

Stats say you are unlikely to ever need your pistol and even less likely to actually shoot it in a self-defense situation. That doesn't mean I'm leaving it at home in the safe. When I have to have gun-in-hand NOW, I don't want to have to think about which gun/holster combo I'm wearing that particular day.

As always, YMMV.

I think to many people these days carry a firearm as a fashion statement and don't think about the real possibility of having to draw under stress, much less fire. They don't train for what could happen. Rotating firearms and holsters doesn't help the situation.

Granted statistics are low, but you don't want to be 'one of those' that it happens to.

99% 239 9mm with the once in a while .357 LCR for convenience. Once I get the 365XL with Romeo vetted to my comfort it will take the place of the 239. I prefer to be consistent.
