Springfield Echelon had one for 3 weeks sold it and my Glock 41 bought my 3rd Legion a 220 45. I would never buy a 40 cal. but would take it over the Springfield Echelon.

Despite my disdain for Springfield Armory the company, I've now had an Echelon for a over a month now and I have to say that I'm so far quite impressed with its performance. HS did an excellent job designing and building this gun. As strikers go its trigger isn't the best but it's not close to being the worst either. Yes it sucks that it HAD to come with 10 round mags, but it handles extremely well and shoots as well as any other striker on the market. Does it really stand out? I think the jury is still out on that, but if it's got anything on the competition it has to be its commanding flexibility when it comes to choosing an optic to mount on its slide. I've yet to mount a dot on my pistol since I'm currently in a bit of a holding pattern financially and I really want to try the RMR3 using this pistol. HS Produkt seems to have done a darn good job with this design and hell, I even love how they pushed SA into allowing their name to be included in the SA logo on the slide. -MG
