So yesterday I got the X Compact 3.6 as a potential replacement for my nightstand gun a Gen 3 glock 19. I love nothing about the Glock. For fun I shoot an X5 a p220 or p239 and add in a 1911.

The glock is a tool. Its a 9mm dispenser. And it is very good at doing that reliably.

This p320 is a whole new deal. I think the grip angle, capacity, relatively low bore axis and pretty damn good trigger are going to blow the Glock out of the nightstand.

Ill report back on after a range report. But so far, very good.

I have the one with the Romeo1Pro on it. Shot like a dream today, sights perfectly co-witnessed to the optic. First time out, all 10 ring at 15 yards. Will try further later, but hell, it's a sub-compact barrel. My G19's have been given to my daughters.

We made an equivalent comparison recently. We bought a P320 compact in .45ACP and Glock G30S for direct comparison for concealed carry. Neither are perfect. We think the P320 feels better on our hand, but can’t shoot either measurably better than the other. The G30S is smaller, lighter, and holds one more round than the P320. Neither is going anywhere any time soon, but for the intended mission the G30S wins in a close one. YMMV.

We trudge on.

Ok so I put about 300 rounds downrange in session 1 with this gun. Do I love it, yes and no. As a nightstand replacement for the glock, yes yes and yes.
It is far more comfortable for me to hold and the recoil seems less, I am thinking this is a grip angle thing. It just works for my hand well.

I like the trigger more than the glock and the reset seems to snap harder which I like.

Its not like shooting my X5, but that isn't the goal here. This is to be a reliable and accurate 9mm dispenser and for that I like it a lot.

I think I will be getting a second one, a full sixed for my nightstand and keep this compact for my truck. I am very happy with this gun for sure.

If you are on the fence, go for it.

I took a 320 X-Carry and swapped out the slide with the 3.6 and the Grip with the X-Compact. Great combo, it's ergos are better then the 19 and it's capacity and accuracy are on par. I like it as an EDC pistol

Have the same one and equally happy with it. I am definitely a Glock fan but I am quickly building up a P320/P365 collection and it's rare for me to take my Glocks to the range now and find myself carrying a P365 often.

I tried the P320 when they first came out but didn't warm up to them and they were sold off. Fast forward to now with more options and better 3rd party support (straight triggers, X-Series and Wilson grip modules, more sight options, etc) and I am now a P320/P365 convert.
