Found one on sale. I have an SR22 that just works, a P322 which works when the mags are loaded correctly.

Does the Taurus live up to what I’ve seen online?

It is a Taurus after all.

Eight years to retirement! Just waiting!

I've fired several, and know 3 owners. None have complained.

I've got one. It's great. Not great just for the price either. I have less problems with it than either of my two other .22 pistols, a Browning Buckmark and a Colt Woodsman which are both picky about ammo.

Just had two guys show up to this evenings Outlaw Shooting Match with 2 of them. One ran perfectly and one was a jam-o—matic.

I sure like mine. I got a gen1 second hand for cheap before they were "discovered" for FRTs, they became hard to find and the prices jumped up. It's a Taurus, but it might be the best Taurus.

I'm not a Taurus guy at all. Ever.

I picked one of these up to test the FRT hype and quickly found it to be a fantastic little .22 regardless of its purpose. Handles well, runs reliably, great trigger.....one of those instances where the cost of ammo quickly outpaces the cost of the gun.

I have and it was problem from the get go. I sent it back and they replaced the barrel/feed ramp and it has without a problem since. I put a frt into and it runs really well, even suppressed.

I bought an early one and have had no issues with it, suppressed and unsuppressed. I have a Ruger mark iv that I love, but the higher capacity mags on the Taurus make me take it out more when I go shooting.

It’s a great .22 pistol and considering the price, it’s an awesome .22 pistol.

A gunsmith friend of mine had to replace the firing pin on one. They're supposed to be cast/MIM and a known weak point.

My buddy is on slide number three on his Taurus TX-22. They keep cracking and Taurus replaces the slide. It takes months before it is returned from repairs.

Some years back I looked at everything new available in a polymer rimfire semiautomatic pistol. Glock, SIG, Taurus, Smith & Wesson, and Ruger. Probably others I have forgotten.
In the end, I couldn't hold my nose, gag, puke, and reach for my wallet at the same time. So I didn't.

Months later, I stumbled onto a 1970 vintage Walther PP in .22 LR. That one is a keeper! Parts and magazines are still available for the Walther .22 PP. All machined steel and blued!
Between the Walther PP, a Ruger MK II slab sided barrel Government Target Model, and a Ruger Super Single Six with dual cylinders, I have figured out I CAN live without a modern polymer rimfire pistol.
56 years old, runs like new, and not in bad condition at all for the age.
