I'm a huge Scorpion fan but the bang for the buck and reliability of the Ruger PC Carbine and PC Charger can't be overlooked. That's what I'd get her.

The problem with a PCC carbine like the Ruger is unless trained in carrying it vertical and deploying it quickly in a home defense scenario, carrying it horizontally could be a problem.
