A Sig was my first handgun nearly 15 years ago. A P220 stainless that was my love for a long time. I shot that gun like a charm and swore we would never part. Long story short, I ended up playing minor league baseball for a couple of years and ended up having to sell her to eat (I had no other options).

Well, many years have elapsed and life circumstances have changed considerably since then. I always knew I would get another Sig someday, when the timing was right etc. At any rate, I have returned to the Sig family today and I couldn't be happier. A 1911 Scorpion followed me home from the local Cabela's (grabbed it for $899!). It is my first 1911, and my comeback into the Sig family! I got her cleaned and oiled today, and can't wait to get it out to the range.

Beauty! Good choice.

Very nice indeed a real beauty. All of my Sig 1911s run flawlessly.

So I got the scorpion out to the range for the maiden voyage today. It ran really well, I had 3 failure to feeds in the first 50 rounds, but the second 50 ran without a hiccup. I know the 1911s can take a while to break in, so I'll clean her down, oil up, and keep an eye on the situation next range trip.

I ended up doing the dot torture test today for the first time as I want to start shooting compitition in the spring. Not too bad, lots of work to do! For not having ever shot a 1911 and probably 8 years since I shot .45, I was moderately happy with my performance.

I'm not sure what is going on with Photo Bucket. Do they not allow free 3rd party hosting anymore?

Nice score.

As for Photobucket, I believe they no longer allow 3rd party hosting. If you search the forum, there have been some threads on this and some suggested sites to work with.

Yes, they changed their system to charge for third party linking. This has basically screwed up the entire internet, on sites that have had photos posted for years now have lost all the links.

There are other sites that still offer free third party linking. You might want to use them.
