Rail-less and Tail-less |
I give you the Dark Hour GSOD (Glock Stand Off Device.) Made so you can fully go John Wick style gun punching peeps and not worry about the gun going out of battery. So yes it’s pretty dumb but to me it’s just looks cool. This is on one of 4 Glock 19’s I own so it’s not like I’m ruining a useful carry gun or anything with this thing. I will say the machining/fit/finish is very very good. It acts more like a barrel weight then anything else. It’s very similar to the HK USP Tomb Raider barrel weight/compensator deals. I doubt any holster will fit it but that’s not the point. The point is to look bad ass when you punch a zombie in the head while simultaneously busting a cap in his dome. These aren’t cheap (paid $90) and they also come in naked/silver finish. This message has been edited. Many times. The problem is the definition of cool.

I just bought a G23. Next goodie for it is an aluminum slide cover engraved with an image of: Hello Kitty. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Yep, bayonets for my rifles. Look cool? Check. Impractical? Check. But not pointless!

For $75 I can pretend it's cool.

I had the chance to buy the CZ pistol bayonet but passed. Kind of regret that now. "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye". The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, pilot and author, lost on mission, July 1944, Med Theatre.

No. OP, that gizmo you have there, or one like it, would be a great addition to a b/u gun for a cop who might have to use it if a fight goes to the ground. Was just talking about this issue w/ a LEO the other day. He wanted a flat b/u but was concerned about the impossibility of making a contact shot. ********************** 53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. My most impractical purchases seem to be in the holster collection that I maintain. Sig Ultra 9mm Traditional, SW Performance Center Shield 9mm, Dan Wesson CCO, Ruger LCRx, Kahr PM9. CZ 75D PCR

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you like it, that's all that's important. Besides, it really isn't that pointless. There could be times if you get involved in a altercation that this could be a lifesaver.

You not foolin' anybody with that. Either your modesty is too much or you got a crazy deal on that '19' of yours. As far as impractical and pointless goes, heck, that describes some of my guns too. Half inch bullets aren't practical, but they are cool. Plus they work great on armadillos.

Haha I just enjoy building them. I buy stripped frames and build them up from there. _______________________________________________ Use thumb-size bullets to create fist-size holes.

Lookin' good with all of those Salient parts. I found a few myself and tricked out a Gen2. I had to get a BLU-C later. Can't really say that practical was what I had in mind.

Doin' what I can with what I got |
KNS Anti-Walk Pins on my M4gery. I built it on a new stripped Spike's lower with Spike's internals. I had absolutely no need for the Anti-Walk pins - I installed them new, not on a worn-out lower or a full auto trigger pack - but it's a faux-automatic pictogram lower and I still think it looks flippin' cool. ---------------------------------------- Death smiles at us all. It's not impractical, when you have a use for it. Q

It can also be used as a meat tenderizer, so it's not a unitasker. So win-win.

I want one of the sgs style comps on my Beretta 92, just haven't convinced myself its worth $250. Most of my glocks wear Suarez magwells and I bought the apex trigger shoe for one of them. Both honestly kinda pointless on range guns. Compensators on my 22/45 Lite, 10/22 Charger and a GSG 1911 all in 22. And the strike industries slide mount glock comp I'm wating on. A Perpetual Disappointment...

If I ever get a Beretta 90two I want to mount a compinsator like the one used in the 2012 remake of Total Recall. Both the pistol and comp will be ‘because it looks cool’. Laughing in the face of danger is all well and good until danger laughs back.
