1959 Colt Archive letter
Some time ago I requested a letter for this 1959 Colt Model 357. It was produced only from 1954-1961 and only 15,000 were made. So not a commonly seen model. It was top of the line until the Python appeared in 1955. The action is very Python like but is not finished to the same level as the Python. This gun was sent to the USAF Academy shooting club in C/O Dan Hardage.I have included a copy of an obituary that someone sent to me believing this to be the same Dan Hardage. This is the only archive letter I have stating a firearm shipped anywhere remotely interesting. Most have been to some hardware store. Big Grin

Hardage has a fairly detailed page on FindAGrave. It even shows him in his Cadet Uniform.
Thats a great letter!

I had one of those in a 6" barrel. It was a fine pistol.
