Some of you might recall my recent acquisition on a P220 .45 a good friend of mine gifted me. I would like to swap out the grips for the earlier non logo grips. The gun is 1999/2000 era. It's been a while since I tinkered with the P-series and don't recall if the grips will swap. I know they would have to be the American mag release style......... Hi, As long as you have the old style factory SiG strut installed you should not have fitment issues. Nice handgun by the way.

I wouldn’t change a thing on that gun. Especially after reading how you came to get it. Leaving it like it is would be like shaking hands with your friend every time you pick it up. If you want a shooter, you can pick up a new P220 for 1K easily, even in Cali Land. Use that one to swap grips/parts, etc…. Just my opinion.

As taguin stated, the old strut is the key for those original grips in my experience. Too many SIGs .. ... Nah not really

You both would be correct in that the older style strut would be needed for the older non logo’d grips to work.
