Sauer & Sohn 1913 acquired year of manufacture (Updated Pics)?
I finally decided to purchase a 1913 to add to my collection, and have read through the unblinking eye page on the gun, but haven't been able to determine a manufacture date (year). It appears to be a Variant 1 with S/N 4329 or 4828 (unclear in the picture), which is early and probably manufactured somewhere between 1913 & 1916. Does anyone have additional information on these that could help me determine a year of manufacture on this? Thank you

I'm still awaiting delivery to confirm the S/N, but am guessing that it is 4329 after reading that the first variation with the additional push button safety ended at S/N 4750. With that, I'm speculating a date of 1914 or 1915, but would like to hear from anyone more knowledgeable with these pistols. Thanks
The only source I know of that discusses the serial numbers of the M1913 is J.P.Sauer & Sohn-Suhl, A Historical Study of Sauer Automatic Pistols Book, by Jim Cate & Nico Van Gij. Unfortunately, I do not own the book. Currently, fantasy prices are beng asked for it. But at least you are having a source where to get the info.

I picked it up and the original grips were warped pretty bad. The gun has repro grips in the pics, which I put on after realizing how bad the originals were; I did save the originals.
