I'm a big RMR convert for pistols. lots of them. lots of use. on lots of guns. lots of abuse. But when the aimpoint came out with the acro I ordered one to test and see what I might like better or worse. Took five months to get delivered. But it arrived. But I live in a rural area and UPS left it in the driveway as they do sometimes. It was a pretty small box and in any case the next person to drive up ran over the package. Looked pretty crushed. But in any case removed the ACRO, added battery and all seems to work fine. Somehow thought this was funny overall given my thoughts on a durability test.

Can you tell us where you ordered it from?

(Good to know about the durability, BTW.)

Take pics. Tell the story to Aimpoint. It'll be a good commercial for them. Cool

And you could maybe score some swag from them with the story.
I did a testimonial for Vance & Hines and scored a shirt and some other stuff.

Europtic. There were pretty good through the whole mess of finally getting it. The long wait time ultimately was created by aimpoint as the order also had a P320 M17 plate on it and aimpoint hasn't actually produced those. So once we got the order split into two parts the sight came pretty quickly...

Thanks. I have found the company to be good to deal with several times.

they didn't run over it with a car. Twice. So that's my contribution on durability to date. I've done a few thousand rounds with it on a glock so far no issues, but I haven't done some of the things I've done to an RMR to compare (hit a barricade in recoil, land on it going prone, etc. etc. etc.)

nope. runs fine a couple of thousand rounds. If all goes well I should be able to shoot it
and get to 5K this week. I finally got my second one (I use these things in pairs for competition) and will use that one over the weekend.
I'm sure its aimpoint tough, but I am not sure its better than an RMR at this point. Further testing will tell.
