I'm not familiar with the HK line-up, but there are plenty of reviews on the site for those products. I know Keith and Bruce worked with Ernie on the project, but I'm not familiar with the details.

Any word/progress on a straight trigger solution for the P2000?

My P30S is at the gunsmith's right now getting a Grayguns straight trigger installed. It should be finished next week. I've been wanting a straight trigger in my HK USP Compact but so far I don't think anybody makes one for that model.
That straight trigger especially with LEM is intriguing.
Once I found P2000’s and P30’s I can’t even fathom picking up my USPc’s anymore. Which is a shame because they are great guns but the grip just feels awful compared to the other two.

Which is weird because I find the USP fits me better, especially in .45. Although I still have no idea why HK decided to redesign the decocker to be at the back of the slide instead of on the safety.

Great. I have the short reset, which was a big improvement to the trigger (for me). However, I still find the feel of the P2000 trigger awkward/distracting, and I'm all but convinced it is because of the severe curve/hook at the bottom. Would really like to see a straight trigger option like you did for the P30.

It's ambi, and results in a cleaner/simpler profile (which might be nice for someone carrying IWB). And if you disassemble, you can see that the design of the mechanism is simple--I think other manufacturers might have copied if DA/SA had remained more popular. Also, I've never carried this weapon as an LEO, but there were situations when I cocked my P226 while it was holstered, but that meant I had to remove the weapon from the holster to decock, which wouldn't be required with a P2000 decocker.
