I don't shoot them. They might be ok to shoot but I have a replica Colt 1st model Dragoon for black powder shooting. I'm not worried about damaging or the history of that one!

Actually I have 3. Smile

From top to bottom:

Remington Beals Model 1858 Navy, circa 1861
Remington Model 1861 Army (aka Old Model), circa 1861
Remington Model 1858 Army (aka New Model), circa 1864
. I surely thank you for posting up your Remington's. The full frame is what I like about these. Haven't seen a Remington at a show in years now I've had a 7th Cavalry Colt in my hands one time. A piece of history in very nice condition. Thanks again.

If you're in the market for one they can be had for not too much depending on what you're looking for. Obviously the more rare variants bring higher prices, but there were a lot of "New Model" versions made so they're less expensive.

If you're looking let me know your budget and I'll keep an eye out for one.

Oh my days of collecting are over. It can be expensive. I must ask sir, do you have a Figure 8 among your revolvers ? I was privvy to fondling a very fine example of the old Savage revolver. Such a unique firearm.

I don't have a Savage figure 8. They're neat revolvers! I did have a Savage Navy pictured below but sold it. I kinda regret that as it's a unique gun, one of the first truly double action revolvers.

Nice indeed. My friends I believe was a Navy, 1851 ? His wore a very nice nickel finish. They were very mechanical and not many people could work on those. You have such a nice mix of historical firearms.

Thanks. I have a few more, some Confederate. Don't mean to come across as bragging. I just enjoy the historical aspects of them.

Very nice. The Colt Navy has to be on the short list of best-looking pistols of all time. Everything about it just looks right.
