Is the M17/M18 Going to go the way of the Dutch P250...only more embarrassingly?

Seriously, what is the consensus of the 17/18 longterm.

Anyone care to predict?

Will the thing still be around in general issue in...

The M16 had about as rocky of a start as ever and here we are 50 years later.

The M9 had its teething problems and later substandard parts/magazines.

The 320 failures seem to be some magazine issues as well as operator training issues as far as failure to lock back.

My guess it will settle in fine.

That being said I think they should have gone M9A3 or Glock.

Or spent the money on body armor research and let the real pistol shooters buy whatever the hell they need.
