For those of you who own an x10, you already know, it’s fantastic. I must say, it is one of my favorite pistols to shoot, with a red dot, almost boring accurate.

However, it is a large firearm, helps with recoil mitigation etc, but it’s just large.

I would enjoy seeing a “compact” version, at the sacrifice of capacity and size.

Curious if the initiated would agree?

If you do not own this pistol, and like the 10mm platform, missing out.

Someone could conceivably make a Compact X10 by using a Compact .40 slide and having a custom barrel made up. But there wouldn't be any compact magazines.

I've been saying this exact same thing since they came out with the X10...heck, since before they even announced it. I want a trail gun...size and weight come at a premium. A Glock 29 is the proper form factor, but I'm invested in the 320 platform and don't want a Glock. I just want a plain-jane P320 Nitron compact (or subcompact) 10mm...no fancy X-grips, or flat triggers, or optics cuts. Just a basic, carry-able gun.

I would absolutely love it and be all over it. I've got an X Ten and it is large and heavy. I have a Smith M&P 4" 10mm and it's an unreliable POS. I'd like an alternative to the Smith, but there really isn't anything else in that size and weight. Both the Glock 29 and Springfield OSP are more compact and don't allow for a full grip. I haven't been able to look at an FN yet, but not a fan of the tactical look to it.

Which brings me to my 3" Ruger GP100 in 10mm. In a El Paso Saddlery pancake rig it carries like a dream. If a heavy all steel 6 shot revolver is the alternative, that tells me there's a void in the market to be filled.

I might be interested in in an XCompact clone 10MM. As far as packability, I carried a G20 for quite a while here in the woods and felt it was comparable to the full size 1911. Holsters made the difference and I used the GunFighters Inc chest rig to good effect.
YMMV.
