I was planning on picking up the new Legion and then adding a Romeo1 Pro to it. I am trying to figure out if its worth it. I can get an RXP X for essentially the same price that includes optic and backup irons. With the Legion I get a weighted frame with extended magwell and suppressor ready barrel. Is the trigger that much better? Am I missing something on the Legion? Mainly this would be a range toy and home defense.

Take a look at the retail price of the tungsten grip module and magwell and you're pretty much on pace to match the cost of an optic.

So having a Legion on par with the pricing of a more standard 320 with optic makes sense.

If you're not looking for a pistol to tune toward competition shooting and tuning loads the features like a 1911 recoil spring, increased weight, competition trigger, magwell, etc might be somewhat in the "useless upgrade" category for you on the Legion. But it all depends on what type of pistol you're looking for, how you want it to feel, what upgrades or changes you plan to make in the future, etc. (and if you don't know what upgrades you might want do you want to be paying for them now?)

Yeah, I am leaning hard to the RXP X Carry right now. The grip can take the magwell and weight if I want it so thats an extra $100. I do not see the need for those right away. Only other thing would be a Gray Guns trigger down the road if I want.
