Was out at the Texas DPS pistol range the other day and most officers were carrying a Sig 320 with a 21 round magazine. RO said they had just received the 320s but I forgot to ask if they were X5 models. Nice pistols. Now on my list is an X5. If LEOs are going to X5s that might explain why 21 round mags are hard to find and if found, cost one arm and half a leg.

FWIW, the 21-round mags should work in non-X5 320s as well. I bought a few back before 11//8/16 (oh me of little faith) for a 320F I plan on picking up at some point.

They are using Standard P320s and not using X5’s. ______________________________________________ Life is short. It’s shorter with the wrong gun…

What were they carrying before the 320's? I thought they had 229's in .357 sig. Now they have gone to a 9mm?

Troopers used the P226 & CID used the P229, both in 357Sig. The new P320’ are indeed chambered in 9mm..
