My P320 is out of commission while the 357Sig & 9mm bits cross paths in transit. Been carrying my KT P11 in the interim. I've EDC'd the 320 for a few years now & find myself checking the holster to see if it's [P11] still there. The P11 is so much smaller & lighter than the 320. Throwing me off. The Enemy's gate is down.

I originally had a P365 when they first came out but sold it as the grip was just too small. Wilson Combat releasing their grip modules for the P365 was a game changer, makes the grip the perfect size. In that configuration I even like shooting it at the range and I've sold off several other carry size pistols as they were just not getting carry or range time anymore.

I'm definitely looking forward to having the 320 on the hip again, but it's been an interesting shift going to a subcompact. Edit: And, I see that my 9mm bits are delivered. P320 back on the hip tomorrow! The Enemy's gate is down.

I finally got my concealed carry license but I'm quickly losing confidence that I can conceal my Glock 19 under summer shirts, so I've been looking around for something small. I just missed some 320 subcompacts being sold off as police trade-ins! I'll say that you can conceal most things and still fit your environment but some guns just make it way easier. As long as you can make good hits with it, and it can handle the number of attackers, why not carry comfortably?

I CCW the Shield. Less than an inch thick, and easily conceals. The knock is that it's either 7+1 or 8+1 however, with the MagGuts replacement spring and follower, it's now 8+1 and 9+1. That's better than a standard 1911 or the equivalent. The MagGuts are a very good option. They last for a long time with the Z spring, something like 80k rounds before replacement. The only knock on them is that they are $31 for each magazine.

Just because something is legal to do doesn't mean it is the smart thing to do. |
Could you please explain 'bits" as used? I have never heard that terminology in firearms before. Integrity is doing the right thing, even when nobody is looking.

I was looking at a Masada Slim before I blew my budget on another CZ 75 https://www.handgunhero.com/co...9-vs-iwi-masada-slim

I shoot mouse guns incredibly well - 50-75 yard hits on a uspsa 1/2 size silhouette with a j frame or ruger LCPII with boring consistency so I don’t feel undergunned with either of them. My typical carry is pocket carry in shorts most of the year ( my area of Arizona gets “long pants weather” for about 3 months) with the exception of my no gun work environment a pocket gun is easy to manage as far as always having a gun at hand. With the exception of while seated ( which is a challenge with a lot of different carry methods) it works pretty well. Honestly I rarely carry a holstered gun on the belt.

Slide assembly & magazines. Swapped 357Sig for 9mm with another member. The Enemy's gate is down.

Thanks, I think I'll stick with the 320, 365 or some sorta small Glock. I know these guns. -------------------------- Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H L Mencken I always prefer reality when I can figure out what it is. -- JALLEN 10/18/18

For me, the P320C & others of that sort of size [G19, P228/9, etc] are about the biggest I'd carry. As it is, I've had the muzzle end of my holsters wear a small hole just above the back pocket of my jeans. The Enemy's gate is down.

95% of the time I'm packing a P365X or XL. Honestly I'm amazed how well these pistols shoot. I mean I shoot the XL as good as or maybe even better than a G19/P320. That other 5% of the time I might carry my Wilson Combat Beretta or my S&W 65 3". Sometimes, you gotta roll the hard six

The XL is amazing. I swapped the ported upper from my X Macro onto my XL (so the X Macro could have a full slide), and I’m very happy with that set-up. I put a shot dead center through the “X” on my target with it the last time I took it out and the follow-up shot through the same hole at seven yards during warm up last time I took it out. I’m very confident with that gun. The Romeo Zero Elite is a great optic on that little gun. Pistol red dots are a real game changer. _______________ #COMMUNISTMANBAD

I used to carry a G19 every day for about a decade or more when I was off duty. Simple IWB kydex, tee shirt and jeans or shorts. Even reaching up in the grocery store didn’t get any mentions. Most people are oblivious to anything going on around them. I EDC a commander sized 1911 IWB kydex and no one to my knowledge has made it. For real? |
I tried the P365. Grabbed a 12rd mag and magguts and it was still too small. Right now, I'm carrying my Glock 43X MOS with a PSA 15rd mag. Grip fits my hand well. If I'm feeling adventurous, I'll carry my DWX Compact. The 43X is about to lose some weight. I'm removing the red dot. Not minority enough!

I've done the same with mine. For me it's literally the perfect carry gun. Only other thing I've done is swap my mag springs for the Magguts springs giving me 14+1 instead of 12+1 capacity. Sometimes, you gotta roll the hard six

ah3 is so right, and my experience mirrors his. I just wasn't happy with my shooting of several P365s, because of the grip, but I tried the Wilson Grip Module and my shooting went right back to where I expected it to be. I now carry that little P365 all the time IWB or AIWB and love it. Bought a second one with a Holosun for fun shooting, and added the Wilson Module to it as well. Bob

I tried carrying a larger gun- P226, P229 Beretta 92 but no matter what I carried, it always felt heavy but more so bulky, as those pistols are. Now,most of the time I carry a Shield Plus as it fits me to a tee. Has good capacity, comfortable to shoot and is very accurate. After renting a P365 Macro Comp, I have been piecing together a P365 with a Macro Comp slide and XL size grip module. So far the combo fits well. Just have to take her to the range and try it out. You just have to see what works best and when you don't have your "right gun", you just feel off.

The Main Thing Is Not To Get Excited |
I'm trying to like a 365 and not getting there yet. I'm taking your mini-review here to heart and will be checking out the Wilson grips. Thanks. _______________________
