Sig Freedon DAY awesome
I spent yesterday at Sig Freedom Day in Nashua NH.

It was a blast.

They had every product out to shoot (Extra money for full auto. I did not partake).

Tables of rifles and pistols.
Iron sights and all sorts of optics.
Way too many to keep track of.

Plus Mossberg Shotguns and Extreme crossbows.

You received a wristband with 15 credits.

Mossberg and crossbow were free.

You could pick any rifle or pistol of any configuration and get to fire a mag.

Each time at the firing line was one credit.

The rifle mags had five shots, and some of the pistols seem to be full mags.

The level of shooting was a total mix.
I would say I was middle at whatever distance they had set up.

The patience of the staff was amazing.

I watched as they talked to novices about better grips and how to aim.

They handed everyone a loaded weapon on safe, if it had one. They gripped it from the top and handed it to you pointed down range.

You never loaded or unloaded. When you were out of ammunition the Sig staff gripped the gun from the top and took it from your hands.

They had kind words of encouragement for everyone.

I only used foam ears, a big mistake on my part.

My hearing is a bit distorted still after yesterday.

There were lots of talks and a few demos.

I watched Jerry Miculek and his daughter Demo.

I also saw Jerry talk to a new shooter about optics and her shooting. After talking to him for five minutes her shooting really improved.

She had no idea who he was. She thought he was a salesman. The guys in line around her going crazy telling her she just had instruction from one of the world's best shooters.

They had TV k-9s from Seal Team show there.
The dogs were amazing and it was interesting to hear how they were trained. It was much different to train a TV dog and a real K-9.

The longest line was waiting for the food at the food truck. They were kind of lame.

Not more than a few minutes from when you got in line for a weapon until you reached the table firing line.

Pistols in
.22 with cans
.380
9mm
10mm
I did not see any weapons in .357 sig or .40

I skipped the airsoft range.

Rifles

9mm
.556
.300 Blackout

Shotguns

12 gauge pump and semi auto Mossberg

A couple of others but I was saturated at that point and don't recall.

They had shuttle buses that took you from range to range and from the parking lot to Sig and back.

We joke they picked us up in fancy coaches and took us back in school buses after they had our money. It was a joke, we all prepaid.

The weather was perfect. Might not be so much fun in the rain and mud. You would need mud boots, you are in the wood of NH.

It was loud and awesome.

I was way too busy shooting guns to shoot pics.

I was a kid in a candy store and told to eat all I want.

I may take pics next year.

Just curious, why was this held in Nashua? I would have expected it to be held at the Sig Academy.

Why Mossberg? Did I miss SIG buying an interest in them?

I'd guess that it's more than likely just a joint partnership in marketing within the tactical arena. Aside from Mossberg, Remington is the only U.S. shotgun maker of size left and they're still struggling to get themselves righted after their last bout with bankruptcy. Virtually every other tactical shotgun is sourced from offshore/offshore companies, with some of those from natural competitors to SIG and their own existing products (such as FN, Beretta).
