Any love in the forum for The Sig 250?
I have the 320 but most of my pistols are hammer fired. Liked the fit of the 320 and found a deal on a 250 45 compact for $311. Haven't had it at the range and only dry fired it. Like the trigger so far and it's a natural pointer like the 320. What do forum members think of the 250?

I own two P250sc's, a 9mm and a .40 S&W. I like DAO guns, though it is not popular in my area. I bought a FDE grip module for the .40 and a railed medium width version that is now on my 9mm.

I can't find a holster that suits me yet.

I shoot the .40 better than I do the 9mm, but only have 100 rounds through the 9mm so far.

Good pistol with a good, but long trigger pull. I liked mine, it was reliable and accurate. But I couldn't get used to the long trigger pull.

I love mine. Matter of fact, I'm looking for a 250 compact in 9mm now. I took it to the range last week and got better results than with my WC P2g compact. And I love the long trigger pull, but I learned to shoot on a revolver.

I like mine. Good training on a DAO pistol, plus the mags fit my Sig 320. Got a good price on it because it was a contract Sig had with the Bolivian government, or so the story goes.

Any love?!?!?
OMG . . . YES ! ! !
A P250c was my first semi-auto.
Learned on revolvers so the P250 trigger was easy and natural.
It is still the semi-auto that I feel the most confident with and shoot the best.
The P250 is highly under-rated (IMHO) and a great value.
Working hard to master the DA/SA trigger on my new P239 . . . And getting better.
But in a SHTF scenario the P250 is more natural and still my favorite.

I hail from the dark ages of the revolver. So the P250 was a natural for me. I have a 9mm SC with a compact kit and a .45 compact which is my EDC.

Why yes there is! 250sc is a truck gun that rides daily in my console.

Most definitely. I've got to admit to mixed feelings about the trigger, though. On the one hand, two hundred to two hundred and fifty rounds in a range session can start to feel like a real workout for the trigger finger. On the other hand, now that I'm starting to shoot 250s more regularly, there are times when the double action trigger on a standard DA/SA P22X feels almost laughably easy. Bottom line? Still one hell of a deal, if you can find one.

I like the P250. Having the same platform in 22lr thru 45 is great.

Great gun. Very comfortable to shoot and accurate. It has become my one of my favorites and replaced the venerable Ruger P95DC as my go everywhere and night stand gun.

I have been advocating the merits of the 250 platform since they first arrived on the scene.
Early on, you would not believe the venom being spewed about the gun. At that time, I don't think Sig was making any other plastic guns, and the purists thought the 250 was a horrible move from Sig.
I bought my first 250 in 2010 and since then I have added a few more complete 250s and a couple X-change kits, so I have an array in most calibers. Buying the 250 when I did got me started making my own holsters since I wanted to carry a 250 and no one made a holster for it. Almost all my carry rotation is now transported in a holster of my own design and manufacture.

I'm loving mine as well. I prefer it with the compact slide over a subcompact frame.

I like mine lots. More than my 320.

I love mine. I bought a compact 9 then got a compact 40 kit and then acquired a compact 45 kit. The 45 shoots softer than the 9 and, well, the 40 is snappy but manageable. I have a low round count through the fcu compared to most but I am well over 1000 rounds through it with no issues...knock on wood.

I've switched my EDC from the 229 to my 250SC in .45
I'm another one who started out in wheelguns and 1911's, so this is a great amalgamation of the two.
For spare mags I carry full size ones. No point in limiting myself to SC mags if I'm in a situation where I need to reload.

I have a P250c in 9mm and a full size 45 caliber x-change kit to go with it.

Best double action trigger pull of any gun I've ever handled, including custom Colt Pythons and S&W revolvers as well as other DAO and DA/SA autos. Not an exaggeration at all.

The pull is light and smooth all the way through, it doesn't stack at all and it has a consistent break.

It's a 15 shot custom revolver in use.

Other than the trigger the other handling characteristics are exactly the same as a P320.

I realize DAO isn't for everyone but in my opinion it's for a lot more people than they realize.

It makes a great carry pistol with a trigger that is inherently safer than a striker fired trigger.

Too bad SIG used a special rear sight on the P250 pistols. My 9mm shoots a bit low and when the night sites go dim my replacement options are limited. The front sight is the same as the rest of the P-series SIGs though so I can adjust POA/POI by doing all the changes up front.

Very very underrated pistol that SIG has discontinued for lack of interest.

+1 on the Sig 250C in 9mm. Got rid of my 320C and another striker fired pistol. The first DA pull is a big safety issue for me, and I couldnt get comfortable with the 320C. its very accurate and has a nice trigger pull. Also have a P290RS for the same Double action only pull-

The 250 is an outstanding firearm. First shot a 250 compact in 45ACP following a local match. I was hooked after firing one magazine and bought one at the LGS the next Monday. These have a very fine, long double action pull with no over-travel after the sear is released. The end result is that the 250 shoots very well. That long pull is a safety feature, much like the double action police revolver, which maintained a great safety record for nearly a century.

Now the reason that many shooters do not like the 250 is that they cut their teeth on the Glock Striker system. They tend to judge pistols on the Glock model. My experiences began on the S&W revolver and the 1911, so to me the 250 seems like a good service or defense pistol.

BTW, Winthrop Holsters makes good quality holsters using heavy grade Herman Oak Cowhide at exceeding reasonable prices. I found them tight at first, but with time really excellent retention: http://www.winthropholsters.co...t-handed-black-0745/
