Anytime I find clean smith 1st-3rd gen mags for sale at gun shows , I can’t resist unless they are just priced ridiculously high
Some i have guns for , some I don’t - but may in the future lol
There has to be a support group or something

Those are gateway mags. I have half a dozen CZ75 mags and no CZ75. Yet.

As someone who's trying to find reasonably priced S&W 4506 (or 645) mags, you are smart to buy them up.

I did have luck finding 1 on ebay for under $40 which is a steal as they regularly go for around $75 and up.

Complete and Total - INVESTMENT.

As your forum friend I will advise you continue in your processes and methods. They will continue to increase in value and harder to find in good to good + condition.

I bought two P229 mags recently.
Once they arrived, I found they were 229-1 mags.

I'm cool with that... it brings my total to 20. I think. Big Grin

God bless America.

I forget the $, but one day I ordered a couple of new ones for my 915 this year. Now $60 each but out of stock from a big warehouse. Hang onto them as one day someone may not know what they have, and sell or trade a Gen. 3 S&W one person ahead of you.

That’s actually a decent deal
I happily pay $20 locally, wonder what those would like condition wise ?

You don't have "A" problem.

You have TWO (2).

1. not enough S&W Gen 1-3 magazines.
2. not enough S&W Gen 1-3 guns.

I know because I have the same problems.

I feel your pain, as 10XX series 10mm mags are ridiculously priced.

CDNN used to sell 3rd Gen mags at a good price. I have not checked for a few years. Maybe visit their homepage from time to time.

I have just enough S&W 909 magazines to think I need a 3906. Sometimes things just, you know....happen.

Well, it's been a few years since they've had them as a regular item.

Yeah, I know they are even harder to find then the .45mags.

I got lucky and grabbed 3 more on ebay for $50 each so I'm good to go now.

You can never have too many of those mags, especially if you get them at a decent price. Their value only increases as time goes by.
