Couldn't imagine any scenario where I'd pay that kind of scratch for one, or even half that amount. I don't have any particular objection to that blue other than there's so damn much of it.

This negativity coming from a person who just bought a pistol with a chromed purple slide... Big Grin

That is some serious coin Eek

It took lots of back and forth arguing with myself before I pulled the trigger on buying my first X5, but that was before I had ever shot one. Back in 07 they were only Expensive. Now that they have achieved CULT status they are extravagant

As good as they shoot, I would never have bought that Scandic Blue at today's prices

I bought my X6 Scandic Blue because I got tired of waiting for the Black & White that I had ordered to arrive. I took delivery on the Scandic Blue late in 2011

My X6 Black & White showed up 13 months later, my dealer had forgotten to cancel the order.

It looked so good I took it anyway. BTW, they honored the price I was originally quoted

Then just weeks after that the Factory showed the Blue Moon. All of a sudden I wanted another one.

Today I am sorry that I did not order the Blue Moon

That was naturally years before the BIG Scandal

I prefer the look of the Original X-family. The only one that had a rail in those days was the X5 Tactical TB, and that made sense since it was the Tactical

That black and white is gorgeous. I love the way Sig mixes the tones/colors of their guns. The Equinox line is one of my favorites and the black and white nails it perfectly.

Thank the German Government for that. They banned Sig Germany exports to the US because they didn't approve of Sig US selling guns to the US government who, unknown to both Sigs, resold them to either Columbia or another Latina/South American warzone. That added about 300% markup to the Mastershop models, and when Sig closed Sig Germany that added another 300% give or take. These guns weren't worth the horrific markup before, and they definitely not worth their price right now.

Yikes! The sure have gone up a bit.

I thought I paid too much for a 9mm P220 X-Six back then.

Seems I did pretty good with that $800 Allround.

Yeah, that's crazy money. Well beyond what I am willing to spend. Especially for a pistol that can be difficult to buy parts for.

I bought a gently used generation 1 X5 Short and Smart 9mm many years ago here in the Forum Classifieds. It wasn't inexpensive then.

I have removed the OEM laminated beechwood grips and packed them away. I have Nills, Hogue G10, and SIG plastic for regular use.

They are very nice pistols, and I am glad I purchased mine.
