Rarity of P228 K-Kote
I’ve been an Sig collector for 20 years, have 3 P228’s in my collection. I have a standard model, Full nickel, and K-Kote. 10 years ago I saw the K-Kote guns were considered more valuable/desirable than the standard matte finish. Seems like these days they are bringing about the same on Gunbroker. Your thoughts?

I put zero premium on a K-Koted SIG. It’s just like a blued one to me. Rarity by itself doesn’t necessarily add value.

My very first gun which I still own is a KA model P228 w/ a K-Kote finish and a Grey Guns action job. I can’t say that the K-Kote is driving an extra premium, but it is one of the last guns I would part with.

The enhanced value in this case to me is that you have a set. Individually each may have same value. But selling to a collector all three might bring a small premium.
