Just finished cleaning up one of the $420 "cosmetically challenged" ones. Man that gun was a nasty mess! I can't believe some guy was trusting his life to this gun. I've never seen so much lint and dust bunnies and sludge in a gun. LOL

It's a ten year old P220 and I seriously doubt the gun had ever been cleaned.

I sprung for one of the "nicer" ones, I am picking it up today. Now I have too many P220s... if thats a thing

Be aware of the 40 cal guns as they wear out quicker than normal. So you might want to check the springs/blocks, frames for wear/cracks, ect.

You think a Sig factory Red Box could come with a cracked or otherwise worn slide and/or springs/block?

I was going to order one of the red box P226's in 357 a month or more ago and could not for the life of me figure out how to get my local FFL on their approved list...

I highly doubt the CPO ones, no. Police trades ins possibly. nonetheless still an issue.

229s deliberately beefed up to handle the 40 and 357 sig. Cop guns carried much and shot seldom. What other information do you have?

The only problem I ever had with a 40 229 is when one of my friends fired a 9mm in it. Ultimately ruined the slide as well as blowing off the extracter or is it ejector and ruining a mag.

Too many 220's? I don't think that's possible. Smile
