Can I run a 5906 upper on a 4006 lower? Kinda like to have a railed 3rd gen 9mm.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

Don't know, but it would be a heavyweight 9mm.

I just tried to put the slide from my 5906 on one of my 4006's... it would not go on at all- the 4006 frame is too wide.

Thanks for the info. Trying to decide if I should pick up 2 of the CHP 4006s or if 1 is enough.
Maybe I'll have one Robar'd or something.

You'll never be able to wear out a S&W 3rd gen in one lifetime and the TSW are considered 3.5 gen and built even tougher. Try to find one that's near mint looking as a collector's piece while the other one you can shoot the hell out of it.
