Wanted to share a small upgrade with everyone that Armory Craft helped me achieve. Decided to purchase one of Armory Craft’s private label threaded stainless steel barrels made for them by Bar-Sto for my X5 since I have multiple pistol suppressors. Thread pitch is 1/2 x 28. Have not had a chance to shoot it yet but will in the near future. For just under $260.00 delivered this drop in barrel has a great tight fit and looks to be well made. I have another threaded Bar-Sto barrel on one of my other Sig pistols and it functions great and accuracy seemed unchanged for that pistol based on my shooting capabilities. Barrel in photos has some anti-seize thread grease on it in the close up photo (not rust) - sorry about that…. https://www.armorycraft.com/pr...el-threaded-1-2-x-28 ![]() ![]() ![]()

What's that, some kind of trigger sock? Q

Q - Great attention to detail - Never thought of it as a trigger sock but that is actually what it is. When I shoot in IDPA matches that have six to eight stages, some stages having a round count of 30-50 rounds per stage, as the match goes on my trigger fingertip becomes super sensitive (nerve related I think) and only on my P320X5 pistol it stings like a bee sting every time I pull the trigger so I decided to create my very own homemade “trigger sock” (really like this term you created). What you see in these pictures is three layers of electrical shrink tubing that I cut, slid up on the trigger, and then carefully heated each individual layer with a heat gun to shrink it. It took a few tries to figure out the correct length but once I did I ended up putting three layers, one at a time, on the trigger - and it worked…. Three layers also allow me to remove the FCU from the lower when I am cleaning the gun post matches and a set of these “socks” will usually last about 1 to 1.5 years before it becomes tacky and/or ragged on the edges where cleaning solvent has made its way between the layers. Thanks for asking - may not be pretty but it an inexpensive process that works - for me based on my sensitive trigger finger tip issue.
