looking to replace my Kimber eclipse UCP anyone had experience with the sig sub compact? Bad or good? having trouble finding MSRP on sig website, would appreciate that also. found a new two tone online for $699, would prefer a steel frame sub compact, but is pretty hard so far.. thanks, Pat
SPRINGFIELD ARMORY offers a 1911 style subcompact in .40s&w that has a forged steel frame. If I remember correctly, their .45acp and 9mm however are alloy frame. Alloy seems to be the norm for most manufacturers.
Pat, I have the Sig Ultra Compact in .45acp. It is, considering the size and caliber, a very pleasant gun to both carry and fire. It has been 100% reliable and has had no issues with any off the shelf ammo. I keep mine loaded with Federal HST 230 +p. Carry holster is by Wright Leather Works.

thanks for the replies,i really liked this Kimber, but a broken ejector has me wondering if I can trust this gun again (maybe just me). gun ran everything but Hydro-Shocks. whats your opinion of asking price of $699?
I found MSRP is $1115, going rate on Gunbroker seems to be $949. $699 on guns international seems to good to be true.will email seller for better description even though many pictures are all looking good. Any advice anyone????
