I just got my 226 legion rx...love it ...but after my 2nd trip to the range, the sight has lost it's red dot, and is now a red blob...does anyone know what this is...or any ideas ?

HornNot normal. Send it back to Sig. Call'em Monday
morning. They'll email you a return label. Should be a week turn around with a new sight.
They may just ask for the sight and send you
a new one.
I've never had a problem with my Romeo 1.

MrMcGooThe Romeo1 can have a red blob when the emitter gets fouled.
The emitter is between the two screws holding the Romeo1 to the slide. A small swatch of micro fiber glass cleaner can be used. If that doesn't work, a Q tip with a very small amount of windex can be used. It's not a good idea to let any solvent get into the electronics.
If that doesn't fix it, then send it in for warranty service. Cleaning the emitter is a normal procedure when operating in a less than ideal environment.

That's the problem with these "open" RDS. Something you don't have to worry when using Aimpoint.

I use a rubber cover on the Romeo1 when I carry it. The cover keeps the lint, sweat and oil out.
The cover supplied by SIG is useless. The one I use is made by Dream Plastics, but needs to have a portion of it cut out to fit in front of the rear sight.

tmcquainThanks for all the info, I tried cleaning it, no help. I called Sig this morning, they had never seen it do that. They sent me a label to send it in. They said would get a replacement out ASAP. Very pleased so far with their customer service. If I could figure out how to attach a photo, I would show you all what it is doing.

I love this answer. Not a dig at SIG specifically or even gun manufacturers specifically they all use the old... "No sir NEVER seen anything like it."
I can just imagine calling the White Star line in 1913 and asking about the Titanic....."The TI-what....nope never heard of it."
