When were the Elite series P226 pistols first released by Sig Sauer? I can find nothing until around 2010/2012- But I thought they were released prior to that.

My best guess is the Elites came out between 2007 and 2008. I just checked an old edition of the Sigarms Velocity magazine I have from early 2005. It shows every gun in the lineup and there were no Elites back then.

Maybe someone on the board who bought one of the early Elites will chime in with more accurate information.

I bought my first P226 Stainless Elite in May of 2007.
