SparkykLoaded chamber indicator.
Can a Sig factory barrel with a LCI be used on a Sig P series that didn't have one originally?

Pipe SmokerMight depend on the specific SIG model. The barrel of my CA P238, which has an LCI, is identical to the barrel of all P238 models. Not so for the P226, I think.

striker1If you’re using an LCI barrel in a non-LCI slide, you should be fine. The other way around would be a problem.

RinehartA while back I got a Ruger SR45 as part of a trade. It shot well but that @#$@#$@#$ LCI stuck up so far that it gouged a holster.
I like the more subtle one as in the M17.
Traded that Ruger-

Pipe SmokerI have an Interarms .380 Walther PPK/S. Its DA trigger pull is gawd awful heavy, and its recoil is gawd awful sharp. But it has the only LCI that I know of that I actually like. It’s a small pin that protrudes a bit out the back of the slide, just above the hammer, if there’s a round chambered.
* In the dark, I can easily feel it with my thumb without shifting my grip. Very comforting.
* The bad guy can’t see it.
* It doesn’t interfere with any holster.
* It’s not ugly.
All LCIs should be like this one. But the CA Roster turds probably wouldn’t approve such an LCI because there’s no place for ugly “LOADED WHEN OUT” lettering.
