Springfield Armory Echelon 07.12.2023
If you've noticed SA tease a new July 12th product launch, it's for their new handgun dubbed, the Echelon.

I'm generally not a fan of SA, but the Echelon appears to be Springfield's attempt at incorporating all the most frequently requested features in a striker fired gun. It's as if SA had a team research internet gun forums & boards to determine what to put on a new gun; hence, we get:I am disappointed there's no "Grip Zone" to tell me where to hold.Big Grin

It's made in Croatia, so I'd be surprised if it isn't as reasonably priced as their Hellcat & XD lines are vs their competition.

Reminds me a lot of Shadow Systems. I’m guessing they won’t be very happy about that.

Still made in Croatia like XD
I thought they might have been going in house.

Buds had XDm Elite marked way down last week but not this.

Why is everything being shown with a RDS and searchlight?

Because it’s not 2005 anymore.

Is it actually a Glock clone or something different?

Ha! Even SA, Inc bought a Glock. Razz

It doesn't even have a Grip Zone

As we get older, the chances of tumor formation increase...

Looks like the XD actually got uglier, again.

I won't hate on it until I try it. Pure speculation based on the shape of the grip I'll probably like it better than the XD line, but doubt it'll be replacing my P320s.

Please avoid this ghetto expression in this forum. It should never appear in this forum.

It's basically a scaled up Hellcat.

Understood.

I like the knife and sheath in the OP’s pic — who makes that? It looks like a horizontal carry.

Any grips will be better than the XD grip.

Aside from the takedown lever, it otherwise has the Glock clone aura down pat.

Looks like it has a “trigger pack” in looking at the inset Genesco marking just in front of the slide lock.

A trigger dingus on the P320 would have saved Sig a fuckton of headaches. I'll bet the costs of voluntary upgrades and litigation have far exceeded what it would have cost to license the tabbed trigger design or whatever it was that held them back.
