| I don't think so and I'm sure 12131 will be along soon. You could make a frankensig and use P229 beavertail frame and put a P228 slide on it. |

| Sig never made a P228 with beaver tail. Would be definitely interesting though if they did make one.

| I don’t think they ever made a P228 with a beavertail. I’ve never seen one. But as noted above, you could cobble one together using a P229 Elite frame, if you can find one. The P228 is awesomely perfect as is, don’t see why you would need one with a tail Then again, I do enjoy shooting my P226 Elite.....

| That's right, at this moment, there is no such animal coming from the factory.

All that said and done I have fat hands and find it more comfortable and faster when I shoot something with a beavertail. It is easier for me anyways to have that large shelf to use a reference point when coming out of the holster.
So I would love to get a 228 with Beavertail, even better one with a rail but pipe dreams are just that.
You can get a railed version. Just won't have the beavertail |

On Sig's website under the 229, they have a M11a1 when you watch the video he clearly states it is from the Sig 228 line up.
So is it a 228 ?
Absolutely not. The M11-A1 is a rail-less tail-less rebadged P229. Total gimmick when it was introduced to attract the uninformed. SIG even put the P228 grip panel on it. And, the original ad said of the fighter pilot, "His other weapon is the F-18", implying that the military adopted the M11-A1. They never did.
