P228 with SRT?
I fell into a 228 recently that reminds me of my M11-A1 in the way it handles. It is a German, triple serial numbered KF stamped from 1995 and pretty clean. A couple of smilees.
It appears to have an SRT and I was wondering if that trigger was available back in '95? I was thinking it was a more recent invention than that. I don't dislike it.

I have an olde P225 with SRT that I installed. The SRT is actually one drop in part, very DIY, not a whole trigger or massaging. While I don't know if it was available in '95, it's replaceable/restorable with no other mods to the pistol.

Arc.

Are you talking about the Short Reset Trigger (SRT) system, which shortens the SA reset, or the short reach trigger, which is just a physically thinner trigger compared to the regular thicker trigger?

The SRT wasn’t available in the 90s, but as arc points out, it can easily be dropped in the old SIGs. The short reach trigger was available at the time the P229 came out in 1992.

I've been on SigForum since 2003, and I don't believe either of those SRTs had been introduced yet, right? They certainly did not exist in the 1990s.

^^^ The short reach trigger has been around in the early 90s, on the P229.

Member Blue Dog has one AA-prefix triple serials, German KD ('93) proofed, two-tone P229 with the short reach trigger. His is the first P229 listed in the serial # thread above.

I also know of another one exactly the same, but was proofed a year earlier (KC). SN AA10459.

Also, you'll note that, the early P229-specific manual had that short reach trigger.

Well I stand corrected; however, am I correct about the Short Reset Trigger kit?

Yeah, that’s what I said in my first post, the SRT wasn’t available in the 90s.

Short Reset Trigger is the one to which I am referring. Thanks for the info from all.
