ArgeeP365XL First Workout
I braved the black flies and went out to my backyard range yesterday .. I put 50 down the pipe of my new P365XL and am very satisfied with the performance. It shot flawlessly and I was able to maintain a 3" grouping which I find satisfactory considering this is my first experience with a 9MM semi-auto.
The only drawback I had was with loading the magazines. I give most of it to inexperience but my old arthritic hands shoulder some of the blame. Calling on my Yankee ingenuity I made myself a little helper. I had a old wood spatula I had laying around that was waiting to be repurposed..took a piece of the handle and fashioned a primitive mag loader. Works great.

az4783054Everyone with a P365 (or P365xl) eventually buys an UPLULA. I'd never owned one until I bought a P365. Once their magazines get used to being fully loaded, they're more forgiving.

straightshooter1I used to look down at those who had some sort of mag loader, But, then, I got old and uhhhhh, feeble, So now I have three different ones and happily use them.
Congrats on your new XL.I love mine and recently put the Romeo Zero on it and I love it even more.
I do wish the regular 365s came with the cut in the slide to mount a RZ or Shield, but ....

ArgeeI had ordered a mag loader..just hadn't received it yet. I tried loading a mag when I brought the gun home from my LGS..ordered a loader immediately. Was just getting impatient to go shoot it.

rockchalk06The Uplula is a godsend.
After a few hundred rounds, the mags were much easier to load. I also topped them off and let them set for a week or so. Seemed to help a bunch.

lkdr1989Know how you feel, I ordered Maglulas for pistol & AR this morning, after killing my fingers loading my 365 mags last week, I ended up using my Glock mag loader which is not perfect but is one step up from bare fingers!
