What I would love to see is a re-design of the Cheetah platform to turn it into a locked-breach, DA/SA 9mm while retaining the form factor. It could be the convenient CCW version of the 92 that the Centurion and Compact models never really achieved.

You might want to try a fresh recoil spring.

I’ve had similar function issues in blowback pistols that have a weak recoil spring.
